New Zealand 2019 week 4: Queen Charlotte, Wellington and Auckland

In the meanwhile I have returned home from New Zealand after an endless series of beautiful experiences. And I’ve got a pretty big jet lag too, by the way, but I have accepted the fact that this is part of the journey and that you’d better accept rather than resisting it. In this article you will read my last week report of my New Zealand trip, in which I actually did a lot in very little time. Enjoy reading!   Goodbye Nelson I spent the last week of my trip traveling instead of in the Airbnb I stayed the weeks before. I said goodbye to the owners and boarded the…

New Zealand 2019 week 3: the Heaphy Track

I’m a bit behind with the weekly reports in this blog you’ll find all about week 3 in New Zealand. In this week I was still in Nelson and I walked The Heaphy Track, one of the Great Walks of New Zealand. There are now ten so-called Great Walks in New Zealand, the most extraordinary hikes in the country. Or at least, that’s how it is described. New Zealand 2019 week 2: Nelson and Golden Bay

Yessss also finalized my second week in New Zealand. At least, today is exactly two weeks ago that I boarded the plane that started my journey. And in two weeks I will leave again, but frankly I don’t want to think too much about that. Time flies when you’re having fun! In this blog I’ll tell you all about week 2 in New Zealand, in which I walked a lot, slept in a thunderstorm and went looking for an interview in the wilderness. Enjoy reading!     Hiking in and around Nelson I have booked a total of three treks and in the periods between I spend most of my…

New Zealand 2019 week 1 – arrival and Abel Tasman

Just when I left for New Zealand, about a week and a half ago, I was reading my weekly updates from my previous New Zealand trip and I found that I really enjoyed reading back what I had experienced. And so the idea was born to write a report every week about what I did this time around as well. To keep you a little informed and to have something for myself to read back when I’ve returned home and am planning another trip. Enjoy reading!     The oh so long journey to New Zealand Before my trip, I was frankly was not looking forward to the long flight,…
