Abel Tasman National Park walks: a list with the best hikes!

Despite the fact I don’t live in New Zealand, I’m proud to be able to say that I’ve been to Abel Tasman National Park five times over the past years. It’s one of those places that I always tend to return to while in New Zealand, even though it’s on the other side of the world. By now, I’ve actually tried most of the Abel Tasman National Park walks and I decided the time was right to make a list so you can pick your Abel Tasman walk. Enjoy!     A short introduction to Abel Tasman National Park Abel Tasman National Park is named after Dutch explorer Abel Tasman…

Enjoy!     About the Wainui Falls Walk Wainui is located all the way at the northwestern end of beautiful Abel Tasman National Park. It takes about 2 hrs to get there from…

New Zealand 2019 week 1 – arrival and Abel Tasman

Just when I left for New Zealand, about a week and a half ago, I was reading my weekly updates from my previous New Zealand trip and I found that I really enjoyed reading back what I had experienced. And so the idea was born to write a report every week about what I did this time around as well. To keep you a little informed and to have something for myself to read back when I’ve returned home and am planning another trip. Enjoy reading!     The oh so long journey to New Zealand Before my trip, I was frankly was not looking forward to the long flight,…
