Mountainous Monday: Cerro de los Siete Colores

There are mountains that you want to see just because they are high (Mount Cook, Mount McKinley) and there are mountains you want to see because they have a typical shape (Las Torres del Paine, the Matterhorn). But, there are also mountains, or to be more precise, one mountain, that I wanted to see because of its colors. Hiking trail tale: Laguna de los Tres

While writing this article I’m flooded with mixed emotions. I’m sitting in my garden, listening to birds whistling, sniffing up the smell of lavender in bloom and hearing planes passing by. We live underneath one of the busiest flying routes in Europe and can almost always see or hear a plane flying by. I never gave it any thought they could be shot down from the sky just like that. We’re not native English speakers … Suggestions are more than welcome! 1. Perito Moreno – Argentina…

The weather here can be impetuous. When it’s a good day, you are in one of the most inspiring places of South America. When it’s not a good day, well, it’s pretty depressing to be honest. Welcome to the end of the world, welcome to Ushuaia! You have to be lucky to get good weather in Ushuaia. It rains about 146 days a year and it’s always windy. Well,…
