Capture the Color 2013

I never heard of Capture the Color before, but TravelLin nominated me for this great challenge. And since I don’t mind a challenge (or two, click to read all about my latest challenge on my Outdrr blog) I am herewith presenting you the pictures I am trying to win with.

The idea is to post 5 pictures, which best capture the following 5 colors: red, blue, green, yellow and white. Go here if you want to read all about the challenge. It took me a while to find the right ones amongst the thousands I have, but here we go:

Red: sunset at Delicate Arch in Arches NP, Utah (USA) We waited for a long time until there was no one underneath this arch. Witnessing the sunset here was just magical!

Blue: taken while seakayaking at Columbia Glacier in Alaska (USA) Although ice is not supposed to look blue, it sure does here. Perfect day out on the water!

Green: on the Routeburn Track in New Zealand One of my fave multi-day hikes ever! We were blessed with 3 days of gorgeous weather

Yellow: made at De Slufter, on the island of Texel, The Netherlands It was a cold day just before NYE and I was freezing until the sun peeked through for just about a minute, and lightened up this stunning wetland area

White: salt flats in the Atacama desert, Chile Salt flats as far as the eye can see, with the volcanoes of the Andes mountains in the background

Now it’s my turn to nominate 5 other travel bloggers for this challenge. Here goes:
Peanuts or Pretzels
Janaline’s world journey
Kami and the rest of the world
Jema Lee
Passport & Toothbrush

Good luck everyone!
